“ The food service and coffee is amazing here! I often come for coffee with my dog and my 2 1/2 year old the service is exceptional and the coffee and cakes to match. Since the new takeover the standard is next level me and my partner just had 2 takeout sandwiches and they were out of this world fresh tasty and made with love thank you you are a fabulous local establishment!! Xx ”
“ We haven't been for a while and it seems to have found it's niche in Nether edge. Really good coffee, great cake and very welcoming atmosphere and staff. It's quieter than others close by which was perfect for me. Update- the cafe has really found it's feet. Everything home made, sour dough based. This morning we sampled a wonderful cinnamon bun. ”
“ Visited with our family a few weeks ago and we had a great breakfast at a great price. Bread, bagels, cakes baked on site. It's nice to see the effort being put into the food and something different on the menu. Will be popping in more often to pick up food and bread. ”
“ Super lovely little cafe. The sandwich with cashew pesto and vegan feta was amazing and a super generous portion size. Lovely waffles. Very friendly chilled atmosphere ”
“ Excellent coffee and food, especially the sourdough bread. Warm and friendly staff and customers who appreciate good food and I love the fact that they are dog friendly. Perfect place to take your partner for lunch and have just introduced fondue evenings, the first on 31st January-brilliant idea. What could be better than dipping their deli ious sourdough bread in a cheese fondue? ”
“ Good choice of food, tasty and affordable. New owner is an experienced chef and is planning to make this a bakehouse. Great food. Much improved on previous owners. Really interesting range. If disappointed in the last few years you must try the new stuff. ”
“ I was in the Nether Edge area taking a very good friend of mine to work on Good Friday. We were a bit early so she suggested we go to one of her regular haunts, The Nether Edge Cafe on Union Road. I am glad she told me of the place. The first thing that struck me was how homely, friendly and cosy it is. It's like a home away from home. Now it was Good Friday and being a chocoholic what do you think I was going to have? Chocolate!!!! I saw the sign for hot chocolate and that's what I asked for. Have you ever seen the episode of The Simpsons where the nuclear power plant was taken over by some Germans and they said "Well we come from the land of chocolate." Then you see Homer dream of being in the land of chocolate. There is another episode where you can see him say "mmmmmmm chocolate." That is exactly how I felt when I had that chocolate drink. As a self confessed chocoholic I can say with full authority this was the perfect hot chocolate. It wasn't too hot or too cold. It was just right. It wasn't too sweet either, it was just right. The cream on top was light and fluffy and that chocolate powder on top gave me a rush of chocolate when I had it. It tasted divine. What really impressed me was when I was asked what kind of milk do I want? I am a vegetarian. That is customer service of the highest level. I was in 007 chocolate heaven. I was truly shaken but not stirred. So the usual questions. Was it worth the money? Good value at 10 times the price. Would I go there again? In a heartbeat! I'll make a point that I'll visit every time I am in the area. Would I recommend them to anyone else? Of course. They have the James Bond seal of approval What would I recommend the public to do? Go down and try the hot chocolate for yourself and experience the Homer Simpson "mmmmmm choocolate." ”
“ First visit to this cafe. Very enjoyable. Tasty fresh food and great coffee. We had the chicken, tomato and almond pate on focaccia and the salt brisket, emmental and Henderson onions on sourdough. Delicious. Friendly staff and great service. Definitely recommend. ”
